Safety & QC Officer

Description:

The Safety and Quality Control Officer assists the Safety Director with training, safety policy enforcement, Work Zone Safety, and Fleet safety. In addition, this role is responsible for administrative upkeep of documentation for all company safety records.


Responsibilities:

  1. Regular use of computer with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  2. Administrative tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
    1. Updating Driver Files,
    2. OSHA Reporting,
    3. Claim Reporting,
    4. DOT & Federal Motor Carrier reporting,
    5. Maintaining incident records, etc.
  3. Assist in OSHA compliance at all locations
  4. Assist with Return to Work Training
  5. Assist with New Hire Training
  6. Conduct Daily Fleet inspections when Road Crews return to the shop
  7. Annual Fire Extinguisher Inspections of all facilities and vehicles
  8. Inspect and Photo document job sites for use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Work Zone Safety
  9. Assist in Accident Investigations
  10. Update registration forms and credentials for entire fleet as needed
  11. Update and organize road work stencil inventory
  12. Transfer fleet resources to satellite offices as needed
  13. Attend meetings in support of Safety

Requirements:

  1. Safety Degree or equal experience working as a Safety Officer/Professional
  2. Clean Driving record and Valid Driver’s License

Salary:

$50K - $70K DOE
