Project Manager

Description:

Our client is seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager to join the team. This GC routinely performs public prevailing wage roadway, utility and bridge projects for MassDOT and various Municipalities in Northeast & Central Massachusetts with a typical project size of $2.5 Million - $10 Million. The Project Manager must be able to work independently to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and communicate all activities associated with the project.


Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with MassDOT Contracting Procedures and Specifications
  • State & Municipal Road Work & Utility Experience
  • Ability to take a project from Award to Project Closeout
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to Modify & Create PDF’s (Bluebeam or Adobe)
  • Ability to Read & Interpret Project Plans & Specifications
  • Ability to work on Multiple Projects in all phases of construction concurrently.
  • Generate Project-Specific RFI’s, Submittals, Extra Work Orders, Work Plans & Short-Term Schedules
  • Solicit pricing from Vendors & Subcontractors
  • Motivated, Self-Starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Pays Attention to Detail
  • Follow the chain of command
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders. (Engineers, Subcontractors, Owners, Etc.)
  • Ability to provide a completed/ongoing project list to demonstrate Construction Background.
  • Knowledge of Digsafe Laws
  • Knowledge of Unit-Price Billing
  • Ability to generate AIA pay applications
  • Sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with vendors & subcontractors within the Massachusetts Construction area.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Job Costing (Cost Codes)
  • Ability to manage CPM Schedule from inception through project closeout
  • Familiarity with B2W (Bid2Win) Operational Suite or similar
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint Construction Accounting Software (or similar)
  • Prior Experience as a Project Manager
  • Ability to fill out and obtain permits of all types
  • 5+ Years Project Management Experience
  • 5+ Years Estimating Experience
  • 5+ Years Contract Administration Experience
  • Perform Civil, Site, Utility and Bridge Takeoffs
  • Solicit pricing from Vendors & Subcontractors
  • Knowledge of GPS Survey Equipment

Salary:

$100,000 - $150,000 DOE
